exist†trace is an all-female visual kei band from Tokyo, Japan. They formed in 2003 with vocalist Jyou and bassist NAOTO. NAOTO’s childhood friend, Mally, came in on drums, and for a while they were the band. After some more time, miko was added as guitarist. Then they added Omi on guitar. So it was a long time, without a permanent first guitar - from start to finish it was three years total. The band’s rock/metal music is dark and eerie, accented by Jyou’s raw vocals.The band’s name means “a trace of existence,” and the cross represents the burden of life.
