Japan's first snow 1973

Pedestrians brave Japan's first snow of the season in Sapporo, Hokkaido, on the morning of Oct. 26, 2010. The snowfall accompanied the first winter pressure pattern, which saw temperatures in the city drop to just 1.4 degrees Centigrade. The Meteorological Agency has predicted that the coming winter will be "somewhat cold," especially as compared to the mild winters of the past decade. (Mainichi)
